Mr. Lessner was the winner of the 2009 IBLA Grand Prize Special Award for his performance of Bach’s Goldberg Variations. The international competition was held in Sicily, Italy, and as a result the tour culminated in a concert at Carnegie Hall. Mr. Lessner has also performed at The Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles where he played Rachmaninoff's Variations on a Theme by Paganini.
